At Wrapbook, we're committed to continuously improving our platform to make production processes more efficient and user-friendly. Our latest updates focus on simplifying crew onboarding, providing flexible payment options for workers with agents, and enhancing the ability to bulk edit work locations. Here’s a closer look at the new features:

Access onboarding via QR code

Introducing Wrapbook QR codes, a new and efficient way to simplify onboarding, making it even easier for crew to onboard themselves. Just generate QR codes in Wrapbook, post them on set, and that’s it! Workers can scan the code and access their project invite and startwork right away.

  • Generate QR Codes: Easily create QR codes in Wrapbook.
  • Post on Set: Display the QR codes on set to remind workers to complete onboarding.
  • Instant Access: Workers can scan the code to access their project invite and startwork immediately.

This makes it easier to help workers start on time and eliminates the need for them to search through their email inboxes for project invites.

Set payment preferences for workers with agents

We’ve made it easier for workers with agents to manage their payments on a per-project basis. Now, workers can choose to:

  • Send Payments to Agent: Direct payments to their agent.
  • Send Payments to Self: Have payments sent directly to themselves.

This flexibility ensures that workers can manage their finances according to their preferences, making the payment process smoother and more efficient.

Bulk-editing work locations

Edit multiple workers’ work locations at once rather than individually. Now you can update everyone's work locations at once when:

  • Adding a New Work Location:  Add the new work location and assign anyone you want to the location.
  • Assigning Workers to an Existing Location: Add multiple workers to an existing work location with a few clicks.

This feature saves you time and reduces the administrative burden, ensuring that all workers are correctly assigned to their respective locations.

New onboarding and payroll alerts

Never miss another onboarding task or payroll. Wrapbook’s new alerts notify you about action items requiring your immediate attention.

  • Overdue I-9 Verifications: Alerts for overdue verifications.
  • Incomplete Onboarding: Alerts for workers not onboarded after seven days.
  • Unpaid Payrolls: Alerts for payrolls that have remained unpaid for five or more days.

Flexible ways to pay employee wages

We’ve introduced more flexible payment options to ensure compliance and accuracy.

  • Use the Existing “Other” Payable Type to: Compensate employees for missed or added wages.
  • Ensure Accurate Categorization: Input additional information like Work Type and Wage Type for correct tax and pension calculations.

More production accounting updates

We’ve also made significant improvements to our Production Accounting Suite:

  • Payroll Transaction Row Splitting: Now you can split payroll transaction line items so that timecards and expenses can be tagged to different locations and episodes. This enhancement makes reporting more efficient and accurate.
