Manager Production Analytics

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the team lead for consolidation of cost reports from various productions into a centralized reporting tool
  • Develop methods to improve overall financial reporting and analytics process
  • Collaborate with company technology and research teams to deliver cross-functional analytics, testing, and modeling with company’s data warehouse
  • Develop new techniques to improve production cost forecasting
  • Coordinate with multiple internal teams to ensure compliance standards, including evaluating documentation and desktop procedures
  • Develop or enhance existing knowledge base on domestic and international production centers
  • Work with tax credit team to develop planning, production metrics and production data consolidation in support of future initiatives regarding tax credits
  • Coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders on all production tax and incentive matters
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry trends pertaining to television and film production
  • Ensure production policies and procedures are uniformly implemented operationally and that payroll/AP/Reporting are in accordance with company standards
  • Support projects pertaining to labor contract updates, rate increases and compliance issues
  • Perform ad-hoc projects as required

Technical skills and basic qualifications:

  • Tableau experience and advanced Excel skills are a must
  • Experience with SAP, PowerBi, MicroStrategy VI tools
  • Intermediate knowledge of Global Vista, Movie Magic, PSL, and Smart Accounting products
  • BA/BS required (Finance, Quantitative Field or Accounting preferred)
  • Film and/or television industry production finance or entertainment tax, or management audit experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact at all levels, including upper management
  • Understanding of production payroll process, union labor agreements, and tax requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Complex problem solving skills and aptitude for analysis utilizing financial applications
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, a high level of academic curiosity, keen focus on delivering results and exhibits the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics

Pay Range - 88k - 110k salary
