October 4th—yup, 10-4—is officially Crew Appreciation Day, a brand-new national holiday celebrating the tireless workers who rack our focus, speed our sound, and keep our productions rolling through thick and thin.
“You’re just there to help. You see someone struggling, you just jump in. I really like that.”
“I received a text from a crew member…‘hey, I know today was tough, but I just want you to know that the way you carried yourself meant a lot to us.’”
“Linda Marfisi and Bo Roses, thank you both for always keeping me in mind and being a light and joy in my life.”
“I was running to get something else; they stepped in and did last looks for me. I was like ‘thank you so much.’”
“Thank you, Sasha, for being more of a people person than I am. And always being there to get me a job when I'm looking for it.”
“I would thank the people that called me when they could easily have called someone else.”
“Sam Miller, I wouldn't be here without you. You're the best. You taught me most things I know. Thank you.”
“Thank you to Caleb and Han. You two make everything better when we get to work together.”
“Thanks to all the PAs that put in so much hard work, so much thankless work. We see you, we hear you, we love you.”
“Zane Tan, if I hadn't met you, I wouldn't still be here, dude. Zane changed my whole life.”
“I want to thank Quinn for always sticking by my side on super difficult shoots.”
October 4th marks the first-ever Crew Appreciation Day, a new holiday recognizing the indispensable contributions of crew members to the production industry. It’s no secret that the past couple years haven’t been an easy time for our crews, and on 10-4, Wrapbook is proud to join in celebrating the hardworking people who keep our productions rolling.
